Our achievements
We are committed to pushing ourselves to the limit to achieve continuous improvement in our ESG practices, set new targets, and report transparently on our progress.
Reduction in CO2-emission
We are constantly planning for and investing in ways to incorporate more renewable energy and reducing C02-emissions in our production process. Since 2022 we have had a 9 % reduction in CO2 emissions.
Energy
We ensure new equipment installed is efficient in terms of power consumption, including upgrading end-of-life components and plant with energy-saving alternatives.
Fuel reduction
By using hydropower Epax has reduced the use of fuel oil by 33% since 2019.
Seawater cooling
By using seawater off our own dock for cooling, we have reduced our consumption of potable water by 65%.
The seawater is pumped directly from the fjord outside our factory and runs through closed pipes cooling down the production equipment. At the end of the loop the seawater is returned to the fjord in its original condition.
