Traceability of finished marine ingredients is an expensive, time-consuming, undertaking. It requires extensive tracking and the global monitoring of fishing, transportation and manufacturing processes. Since EPAX AS has a fully integrated supply chain, we have the ability to trace every EPAX product back to the species, time and place our raw materials were caught.

The EPAX AS manufacturing chain is fully integrated from boat to finished product and is the reason we can confidently guarantee purity, quality and a sustainably sourced marine end product. Through this integration we have the ability to identify species, time and place our raw materials were caught and processed to meet traceability criteria. Control of every phase of the manufacturing process ensures continued quality at every step. When, upon occasion, we receive materials from outside our integrated supply chain, we require those sources to supply proof that they are traceable fisheries, and that they adhere to our stringent quality-assurance and quality-control processes.

Committed to sustainability in harvesting, transporting and manufacturing marine sources, EPAX AS was recently awarded the Friend of the Sea certification. Friend of the Sea (FOS) is a registered non-profit non-governmental organization (NGO) that was founded in 2006 to conserve marine habitats and resources. FOS provides market incentives for sustainable practices and participates in marine conservation projects.
