Purity
In our manufacturing process, we have dedicated ourselves to producing the world’s purest Omega-3 fish oils. As a result,
we have gone beyond the industry’s method of defining fish oil purity – simply measuring environmental pollutants – we also
include oxidation parameters and monitor trans fats.
Environmental Pollutants. EPAX sets new purity standards in the industry and guarantees products that meet or exceed all global authorities’ limits
for organic pollutants and trace metals. In May 2007, we once again lowered our definition of acceptable levels for dioxins,
furans and dioxin-like PCBs to a specification that is 60% lower than the levels set by the EU authorities.

Oxidation. Being the first in the industry, EPAX sets new and stricter maximum values for oxidation products in the oils that are well
below global authorities’ limits. Oxidation forms free radicals that can damage human cells and, consequently, negatively
affect human health.

Quality
Consistent quality. We reach for consistent quality in all our EPAX formulations.
Our manufacturing plant is approved for GMP production (Good Manufacturing Practice), carries a grant for the manufacturing of APIs (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients) and maintains
an approved HACCP system.
As a vertically integrated company, EPAX can ensure the controlled sourcing of high-quality raw materials. Our state-of-the-art
manufacturing techniques, including enzymatic production, ensure that the oils are subjected to mild treatment during processing.
Our manufacturing ensures product quality with respect to vital parameters such as purity, concentration levels, oxidation,
colour, taste and smell. Every production run carries full quality control documentation.
Innovation
Innovative at all times. When it comes to innovation, EPAX AS has achieved a number of industry firsts. We were:
