EPAX values for oxidation, which are reflected in peroxide values, anisidine values, totox, absorbance, oligomers and acid
values, are well below those set by international regulatory standards, i.e. the European Pharmacopoeia and the GOED Voluntary
Monograph. The reason why our Omega-3 fish oils have such low levels is our sourcing of high quality raw materials as well
the human expertise and processing equipment.
Oxidation products are not inherently present in fish oil, but are formed if the oil is handled incorrectly. EPAX uses a manufacturing
process that minimises the exposure of the oil to heat and air in order to control the quality of the end product and to ensure
that it is safe for long-term human consumption. Low oxidative parameters also ensure a long shelf life.
